Gentle bubbles tickle the nose as this wine releases aromas of apple and freesia. It has flavors of green apple, lime sorbet, freshly baked bread and a touch of nutmeg. A soft sense of tingling on the tongue persists into the citrus-laced finish.

About this wine

This is a one of a kind wine. Sourced from 50 year old Kakhuri Mtsvane vineyards this is the first champagne style sparkling qvevri wine. The base wine is fermented in qvevri but with NO SKIN CONTACT.
The wine then undergoes a secondary fermentation in the bottle method champenoise (traditional method). For two years the wine is aged on the lees and hand riddled in special racks. The wine is then disgorged and enclosed. Fresh, delightful, elegant and one of a kind, this wine is a winner on many levels.
No filtration or fining and tiny amounts of SO2.

About Orgo

Orgo is Gogi Dakishvili's own estate in Kiskhevi, outside Telavi in the heart of Kakheti, where he has spent thirty years reviving Georgia's qvevri tradition. The fruit comes entirely from vines over fifty years old — rare, since the Soviet era cleared out most of Georgia's old plantings. Amber Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane and Kisi alongside a classic Saperavi. Benchmark Kakhetian qvevri wines.
