About this wine
Dzelshavi is one of Georgia's ancient grapes, native to central and upper Imereti. Alice Feiring calls Archil's low-tannin dzelshavi "rescued from the brink of extinction", making wine that is "savory and fruity" (Saveur, 2025).
About Archil & Mariam Guniava
Archil Guniava farms just 1.5 hectares in the village of Kvaliti in Imereti, western Georgia, making naturally fermented wines in century-old qvevri built by his grandfather. Working entirely by hand with no chemicals, he champions rare indigenous Imeretian varieties such as Tsolikouri, Tsitska, Krakhuna and Otskhanuri Sapere, with his daughter Mariam now making wine alongside him. Cult, hands-off western Georgian wines of crystalline purity.
