Archil Guniava farms just 1.5 hectares in the village of Kvaliti in Imereti, western Georgia, making naturally fermented wines in century-old qvevri built by his grandfather. Working entirely by hand with no chemicals, he champions rare indigenous Imeretian varieties such as Tsolikouri, Tsitska, Krakhuna and Otskhanuri Sapere, with his daughter Mariam now making wine alongside him. Cult, hands-off western Georgian wines of crystalline purity.
