About Château Mukhrani
Georgia's first true royal château, founded in 1878 when Prince Ivane Mukhranbatoni returned from Bordeaux and Champagne determined to build a French-style estate on his ancestral lands in Kartli. Abandoned during the Soviet era and revived from 2002, the estate today farms over 100 hectares of organic, estate-grown vineyards, with Bordeaux-trained winemaker Patrick Honnef crafting elegant, structured wines from indigenous Georgian varieties. A rare marriage of deep history and modern precision.
