The Meparishvili family cellar is in Partskhma (Chokhatauri, Guria), where natural qvevri wine is a family tradition. Te wine goes into qvevri at the November harvest and spends a very short time on the skins before being pressed off
About Beka's Wine
Beka's Wine is the family cellar of Besik (Beso) Meparishvili in the village of Partskhma, in Chokhatauri, Guria, named for his son Beka. Besik came home to the family village, restored the old house and its marani, and replanted the vineyard with Gurian grapes; he makes natural wine in qvevri from Chkhaveri, Tsolikouri and Aladasturi, with his 90-year-old grandfather as his greatest advisor. The winery joined Georgia's Natural Wine Association in 2023.
