- Racked into stainless steel, off the lees, without sulfites, January. Final added sulfites 50-60 ppm.
About this wine
A vineyard selection of Aladasturi (ah-lah-dahs-too-ree) made by the young woman winemaker Gvantsa Abuladze, sister of Baia Abuladze and brother Giorgi Abuladze.
This rare variety is sourced from their estate in the village of Obcha. All red varietals grown in Imereti are higher acid, lower sugar grapes due to the humidity of the region.

Baia Abuladze is a young woman, who together with her sister, Gvantsa Abuladze, and their family in Obcha, Imereti in the west of Georgia, are bringing new life and energy to a region with a storied history but whose winemaking traditions had suffered greatly, under communism. Lighter, vibrant and acid driven and purposeful wines.
