Master distiller Giorgi Tevzadze: “After graduating from the University of California (Davis), where I studied Enology and Viticulture, I learned how to distill in the USA. I then returned to Georgia and started the Riravo Distillery in the backyard of my country house at Saguramo. We source the highest quality fruit from forests and the countryside all over Georgia and we create the very finest natural wild fruit spirits with our own hands, using technology unique to Georgia and following Riravo's own recipes.”

Riravo helped launch Georgia's craft distilling movement when Giorgi Tevzadze founded the distillery in Saguramo, near Mtskheta, in 2013. Alongside traditional grape chacha, Riravo is known for its wild-fruit spirits — distilled from ripe Georgian feijoa, persimmon, quince, wild plum (tkemali) and more.
